New Range – Perspex Tints
Perspex Panels now stock 6 colours of Perspex Tints.
We now stock six colours of Perspex tinted acrylic panels. This material is tinted meaning that light can be seen through it. The colours are included in our Tinted Panels category, which includes Frosted and Edge-Lit colours. Due to the properties of these materials, they are great for various projects. Such as lighting projects, light boxes and lighting applications. This material can also be used for art installation pieces, home wear, awards, jewellery and more. Both the Tinted and Edge-Lit panels have gloss finishes, where Frosted colours are satin. These finishes must be taken into consideration when using them in a project. As they can effect the way the light is diffused through the material.

Here is a great example of these tinted colours used for a lighting project. Fun, modern lighting domes were created from the material. The acrylic piece was heated in an oven until supple. Then transferred to a dome blowing unit, where it is clamped under a circular ring. After that air pressure is applied, this blows the material up and forms it into a uniformed dome. Finally, lighting fixtures and bulbs were added to suspend the domes from the ceiling.
